JOYFUL MISSIONARY SERVICE IN ROSE PARK

JOYFUL MISSIONARY SERVICE
IN
ROSE PARK, UTAH

"LIFT UP YOUR HEART AND REJOICE,
 FOR THE HOUR OF YOUR MISSION IS COME;
AND YOUR TONGUE SHALL BE LOOSED,  AND
 YOU SHALL DECLARE GLAD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY
 UNTO THIS GENERATION."
D&C 31:3

We were called as Service Missionaries to Rose Park from February 1, 2004 to August 1, 2005.  We are very grateful we were part of the Rose Park community for 18 months.  We love the people we served with and the amazing members in the Rose Park 1st Ward.  We were very impressed with the community pride, strength, goodness and loyalty of the people in Rose Park!

We were involved with other service missionaries in cleaning and restoration work in several homes in the neighborhood, painting, taking off old wallpaper, replacing windows and window coverings, installing a sump pump, pulling up an old floor and installing the  new floor, sorting and donating clothing and other goods,  cleaning out trash, trimming bushes, fixing sprinkling systems,  installing a new ceiling, putting in a new furnace, plumbing work, teaching English as a second language, minor home repairs, family home evenings, budget counseling and helping members find employment and become self reliant as well as teaching the gospel!

It was a most rewarding experience for us to serve this mission and feel the love and spirit of the members and the other service missionaries! We will always remember our time spent in this amazing mission and Rose Park will forever hold a special place in our hearts!  Thank you dear friends of Rose Park!
